GOOD MANUFACTURING PRACTICES (GMP)

The course is designed for anyone in food manufacturing industry whose job responsibility requires a comprehensive understanding of the basic concept of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). Participants will equip with measures to assure product safety and quality control. This course will provide appropriate standards and practices for product testing, manufacturing, storage, handling and distribution.

The objectives of the training are to equip participants with:
  • an understanding and have essential knowledge on GMP
  • an understanding and relates GMP to HACCP plan
  • knowledge and techniques to develop and implement GMP as a prerequisite programs
  • knowledge and techniques to establish a record keeping systems (SOPs)
Any food safety system standard like Good Manufacturing Practices require company to develop their own documentation such as standard operating procedures, plans and various types of record be in place. These regulations however, do not provide any guidelines to the industry on how to set up and manage documentation systems. It is, therefore, left to companies to design and set up their own internal documentation systems.

This course provides hands-on methodologies and techniques on how to identify what systems require documentary coverage; how to identify what type of documentation is required, set up, implement and manage the documentation systems to ensure continuous compliance. Types of documentation addressed include: GMP manuals, policy manuals, standard operating procedures, work instructions, forms, records, protocols and etc.
This course is aimed at Good Manufacturing Practices, quality assurance auditors and production management for internal audits. To be a business benefit rather than a drain on resources, auditing programs must be integral to continuous improvement. The key to effective internal auditing is the training of both auditors and auditees in the purpose and relevant techniques of the audit and how these techniques can be channeled to achieve business and compliance improvements. • define the activities and requirements of GMP Audit
  • learn how to plan, prepare, perform, monitor, closing nonconformity and follow up GMP Audit
  • identify the roles and benefits of GMP Audit in a Food Safety System
