This is a foundation and awareness training course suitable for those wishing to understand the purpose of IATF 16949:2016 and how to interpret the requirements of the standard. This course wills emphasis on the clauses of IATF 16949:2016 specification documents. As the clauses are reviewed, the explicit and implied requirements are discussed so that participants are clear about what is required of a conforming IATF 16949:2016.
Upon completion of the course, participants will be able to:
- gain the understanding of the IATF 16949:2016 requirements and the automotive certification scheme for IATF 16949:2016.
- gain an in-depth knowledge of the IATF 16949:2016 requirements.
plan, document and implement the system in their organization.
This course outlines the IATF 16949:2016 standard and provides participants with the guidelines for implementation. The key topics covered are background to quality system standards, the purpose of IATF 16949:2016, interpreting the standard requirements, implementation issues and dealing with customer requirements. They will gain a comprehensive understanding of the overall requirements of IATF 16949:2016, how to develop and maintain a quality system, connections to other standards and requirements.
At the successful completion participants able to:
- understand the Clauses of IATF 16949:2016.
- interpret IATF 16949:2016 requirements in documentation process.
- understand the relationship between IATF 16949:2016 and ISO 9001:2015.
gain the knowledge needed to effectively implement the most current requirements outlined in IATF 16949:2016.
This course is designed for company personnel who are responsible for conducting internal audit of their company’s quality system, either individually or as a member of the company audit team. Managers and other personnel who are responsible for establishing the internal audit function will also benefit from this course.
At the of the course participants able to :
- understand the IATF 16949:2016 requirements.
- understand the importance of internal audits within IATF 16949:2016requirements.
- understand the three types of internal audits required by IATF 16949:2016 (System, Process, and Product Auditing).
understand the guidelines for conducting quality assessment for both internal & external audits.
APQP stands for Advanced Product Quality Planning. It is a structured method of defining and establishing the steps necessary to ensure that a product satisfies the customer. It outlines a process for introduction of a new product while minimizing risk for you and your customer. Participants will learn the APQP process is a fundamental method for assuring quality of the product throughout its development from concept to obsolescence.
Upon completion of the course, participants will be able to:
- understand the philosophy behind APQP as described by Chrysler, Ford and General Motors.
- understand the relationship of APQP to the IATF16949 system.
- understand the intent of the manual.
gain the knowledge to implement and achieve effective quality planning based on the manual.
This course addresses the purpose of Production Part Approval Process (PPAP), provides participants an introduction of each of the elements required for PPAP. In this course the participants will learn the PPAP process and how to apply the needs/wants/expectations of the customer. This course will give the participant a general understanding of the PPAP with emphasis on customer satisfaction. It is specially designed to provide participants with the knowledge and skill to develop and process the PPAP submission to your clients.
Upon completion of the course, participants will be able to:
- understand the requirements for PPAP.
- understand the standard relates to the IATF 16949 system.
understand the process of developing & producing a Part Submission Warrant (PSW) to meet Chrysler, Ford & General Motors requirements.
To successfully introduce new products or processes in a cost-effective manner, resources should be allocated upfront to prevent problems. It is more expensive to fix problems farther along in the development cycle after a product has been manufactured, than it is to prevent them.
Failure Mode & Effects Analysis (FMEA) is a systematic and analytical preventive process or approach to evaluate potential failure modes, likely causes and controls associated with the design and manufacturing processes of new products so that the design and manufacturing quality consistently meets customer requirements. The systematic evaluation using a standard FMEA format helps to prioritize efforts and focus resources for performing design or process modifications for the most critical problems first.
Upon completion of the course, participants will
- improve the reliability of products and reduce material waste through eliminating failure modes.
- be able to provide records for safety and reliability of the product during the design and production stages.
- be able to identify who and what cause reliability problems.
- learn how to perform a FMEA process to define design requirements from system and product design aspect.
- be able to develop Control Plans and Reaction Plans based on the information gained through FMEA.
Measurement System Analysis (MSA) is important in controlling variation in measurement systems. This training can help your company comply with IATF 16949-MSA requirements. MSA includes detailed tutorials on many measurement system analysis techniques including how to conduct and analyze GR&R (Gage Repeatability and Reproducibility) Studies. A GR&R is the accepted techniques for evaluating the level of variation in a measurement system and determining if the measurement system is acceptable for use.
Measurement System Analysis covers techniques for analyzing the variation within a measurement system, determining its suitability for use and ways to improve measurement systems. Once measurement system is found to be acceptable, it is equally important to institute a formal system to manage the measurement system to ensure that it continues to be reliable and dependable. MSA explores approaches to managing measurement systems to ensure that they can be depended upon.
Upon completion of the course, participants will:
- learn concepts & techniques used for the evaluation of measurement systems.
- speak the language of accuracy, precision, linearity & stability as they relate to measurement systems.
- apply control charts appropriately to measurement systems.
- check for accuracy & linearity.
In order to meet the customer requirement consistently, the stability of the process is a critical success factor. Statistical Process Control which triggers for unnatural variations and its causes investigation is a powerful tool to provide real time control, hence to ensure process is in control. Once stability achieved, the capability of the process will then be measured using Cp and Cpk indices. When the process capability is low, proper tools and methodology is to apply to improve the Cp and Cpk.
Some advanced SPC concept that will be discussed in the training are the guidelines to review and revise the control limits, new methods of control limits calculation compare to classical Shewhart method, criteria to reduce or eliminate the control charts. The implementation of Statistical Process Control is a cornerstone for companies to use data objectively for the achievement of higher product or service quality. The objectives of this course are:
- to equip participants with a clear understanding of the methodology and techniques of statistical process control through lectures, workshops and discussion of practical case studies.
to provide the essential steps for implementing SPC systematically and successfully.
Any supplier to the automotive industry knows that Core Tools is synonymous with Customer Specific Requirements. This two-day course specially designed to covers the requirements of each of the core tools. It is designed to provide participants with an introductory overview of APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC and MSA methodologies. The main objective of this course is to give an overview and understanding of the five core tools in IATF 16949:2016 Requirements. It is also suitable for new personnel involve in IATF 16949:2016 System.
